Patients with TSCI appearing in the NHIS database between 2009 and 2018, and those present in the AUI and IACI databases between 2014 and 2018, were subjected to a review. The patient cohort for our investigation comprised 178 individuals. Prior to undergoing implantation, participants completed validated psychological questionnaires assessing depression, anxiety, and personality traits. Patients receiving corticosteroids during their university hospital stay, and later directed to our consultation-liaison service, were the subjects of our selection. The research involved patients, whose diagnoses of CIPDs conformed to the ICD-10 coding system. Patients receiving IVMP and those receiving other corticosteroid treatments had their incidence rates compared. The association between IVMP and CIPDs was scrutinized by dividing patients with CIPDs into three groups, contingent upon their experience with IVMP and the timeline of CIPD onset.
